Why work with UKRA?

A clear offer for Master’s students

The UK Research Academy provides focused academic preparation for students who are preparing for UK postgraduate study and want to start their degree with stronger habits, clearer expectations and greater confidence.

Preparation, not a pathway

UKRA is not a university pathway provider and does not guarantee admission to any university. Our role is different: we help students prepare for the academic demands they are likely to encounter once their UK Master’s begins.

Designed for international students

Many international students arrive with strong subject knowledge but are less familiar with UK expectations around independent learning, critical discussion, argument-led writing, academic integrity and research-based assessment. UKRA makes these expectations explicit before students begin.

Strong fit for humanities and social sciences

The programme is especially suitable for students entering humanities and social science subjects, including business, education and related fields where critical reading, analytical writing, research thinking and seminar participation are important.

Small cohort online teaching

Students learn through live online seminars, structured class interaction, guided weekly tasks, practical templates, resource packs and periodic group clinics. Cohorts are designed to be small enough for students to receive focused academic guidance.

Reassuring for students and parents

A UK Master’s degree is often short and intensive. UKRA gives students and families a clear preparation option before the degree begins, helping them understand why academic transition matters and how students can prepare for it.

How referrals work

01

Contact us

Agents complete an enquiry form or contact UKRA directly to tell us about their organisation, student market and interest in the programme.

02

Initial discussion

We arrange a conversation to discuss programme dates, fees, delivery format, referral expectations and any proposed partnership arrangement.

03

Receive information

Approved agents receive partnership agreement and student-facing materials that can be used by agents for promotion purposes.

04

Refer students

Agents introduce suitable students to UKRA. Students should receive clear information about the programme, fees and policies.

05

Student enrolment

Students enrol through the UKRA website. UKRA notifies the agent and processes the agreed referral payment.

What we provide to agent partners

Approved educated agents may receive:

  • approved promotional wording to describe the programme accurately;
  • support with student and parent questions;
  • guidance on student suitability;
  • updates on future cohorts;
  • clear dates and fees information;
  • application and enquiry links;
  • regular updates on referred student enrolments;
  • prompt processing of agreed referral payments.

All promotional information must be used accurately and must not be changed in a way that misrepresents The UK Research Academy, the programme or the student outcome.

We ask all agents to represent The UK Research Academy accurately and responsibly.

Fees and referral arrangements

Programme fees and policies will be made clear to students before enrolment. Any payment arrangement with an agent partner must be agreed with UKRA in writing.

Students, parents and sponsors

Students should be actively involved in the decision to join. When a student is 18 or over, we will communicate with them directly unless authorised otherwise.

We work with agents who share our commitment to accurate information, student welfare and academic integrity. We may decline or end partnerships if our standards are not met.
